My cousin said Matheson made the trip with the Pens. So he must be close. |

That seems ahead of schedule for “long term,” but good. I hope he’s ready soon. With Petts out this would give them a good chance to see how the Matheson experiment works. |

The Pens LD problem wouldn't have been a problem had they kept Hornquist and signed Chara.
I'm of the opinion POJ should be put in on the top pairing with Dumo sliding down to steady Marino a bit. Moving POJ to the 2nd pair is better than Ceci but with Genos play could end up sewering two young Dmen.
If Geno can't get it together with Zucker and Kap we are in big trouble. That is the line I was hoping they would go with from the start, feels like a perfect mix. |

For the money MM is getting, 4.47 GAA is absolutely horrendous. If keeps this up, I wouldn't be surprised if he gets bought out.
Yes, Jarry had 2 bad games but maybe bouncing back somewhat. MM seems to be getting worse. I. for one, am glad that MM is someone else's problem. He is very mediocre - horrendous glove hand, bad rebound control. - chimpira
I don't want Murray back. But Jarry ain't doing much different. |

Jarry’s current trajectory is looking better than Murray’s IMO. He’s been getting better as things move on. |

Some people think it doesn’t matter but Jarrys puck playing ability is on a complete different level then Murray’s as well. |

I think Jarry has much more ability/talent than Murray. Plus he is 1/2 the cost of Murray. |

Murray never played the puck. And I really appreciate Jarrys ability to play the puck. I've played with guys who don't and guys who do and it helps. |

Last 2 games for both of them are vastly different. Seems Jarry is heading in the right direction and Murray has let in 11 goals the past 2 games. Now we'll have to wait and see by the end of the season and I do realize Jarry is on the better team, but I watched Murray last night and it's not good. Rebound control was awful and his glove hand really does suck. |

After last night, I don't think MM is going to be playing on any NHL team for much longer. |

I agree that the Pens should have kept Hornqvist. Regarding Chara, I am pretty sure he wanted to go to the Capitals and the Pens simply could not have gotten him regardless.
I don't think POJ is ready for the top pairing but he definitely looks to have lots of potential and is helping the team a lot right now.
I think the Pens should temporarily demote Malkin to the third line if he keeps playing like how has so far. |

Don't think POJ is quite ready for top pair. Now if you wanna give Geno a dose of Dumo-Tanger and Sids line POJ-Marino more then that's fine. I also noticed Kap over passing to Geno sometimes and he shouldn't do that right now. I think it would help Geno out if Kap takes it himself a bit and rips some shots. And Zucker needs to help out as well. Kap and Zucker together should be able to carry the load off Geno for a little and get him going. |

I think that the Pens already were full when Chara realized that Boston wasn't going to resign him. But, I wouldn't want him anyways after watching him play 2 games against the Pens. He looked really slow and out of place to me... |

One of my good friends from grad school is a Boston die hard and has been yelling about how cooked Chara has been for like the last three years and begging him to retire. I cannot remember a single shift he took against us when we played Washington. Completely unnoticeable for such a huge dude. |

He is a plus 4, but I feel that it is inspite of his play not because if it.
I would have taken him over Ceci, but as I said we were already set on D when Boston took a pass... |

Yeah I mean I’d take pretty much everyone not named Jack Johnson over Ceci but I’d take a lot of guys over Chara right now too. |

I’d imagine it’s probably for team bonding. Watching in the press box, being able to talk to Reirden regarding things, etc vs being in a gym riding a bike and watching film.

Payday Marino has looked dreadful this season, fancy stats be damned. Once again proof that you shouldn't anoint anybody as anything until they're truly proven. I look at Olli Mattaa, I look at Colby Armstrong. Both were shipped out of town and I fear that fate is next for Payday. |

With an upper body injury he’s probably just trying to keep skating to help get his legs under hi when he can return.
I don’t think it says anything to aid his timeline |
